A title that shows an almost pathological disdain towards the people who will play, and in the process becomes a game where amazing things happen by accident every time you play it. Each and every firefight is crammed full of beautiful individual moments, the kind often mentioned in dispatches or on awards citations. To sit alongside that quote, I’d happily suggest “So is learning how to play Men of War: Assault Squad 2“. A game that wears it’s heart on its sleeve a black and diseased heart, full of rage and apathy towards humanity.Īssault Squad 2 is a detail intensive, beautifully rendered macro/micro-heavy RTS.
War is hell, as somebody with a much better grasp of the horrors and starkness of armed conflict once said. The review was completed using a copy of the game that I purchased myself.
